5,000 Easter eggs set to be hidden for mountain town hunt

Frisco is hosting its 23rd annual Easter egg hunt on April 5, and the event will include 5,000 hidden Easter eggs.

According to a press release from the Town of Frisco, the Easter egg hunt will take place on Frisco’s Main Street at noon. Children up to eight are invited to search for eggs throughout the Frisco Historic Park and Frisco Town Hall areas. Children can also visit the Easter Bunny before and after the hunt.

The hunt will be split up into three areas and age groups on Main Street. Children three years old and younger will search for eggs around the Frisco Town Hall lawn. Children four-to-five-years-old will hunt for eggs on the gazebo lawn at the Frisco Historic Park. Six-to-eight-year-old children will do their search on the upper lawn of the Historic Park.

The historic schoolhouse bell will ring at noon to begin the hunt.

The press release also asks that kids aim to gather no more than eight eggs.

Frisco Main Street from Madison Avenue to Second Avenue will be closed to traffic from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for the event. The egg hunt will end when all eggs are found.

The Town of Frisco will provide egg collection onsite after the hunt so that eggs can be reused next year.
