- Crested Butte Wildflower Festival
Date: July 10 – 19
Hosted in the “wildflower capital of Colorado” – Crested Butte, this festival is an annual ten-day spectacle that offers over 150 workshops in wildflower expertise, including painting, pollination, photography, culinary arts, or even hikes to see the wildflowers firsthand.
2. Colorado Lavender Festival (Palisade)
Date: June 26 – 28
At this festival, guests can explore lavender fields, get guided tours of local farms, and go to workshops where they’ll learn about the cultivation and uses of lavender. The festival will also include artisan markets with lavender products, culinary delights, and live demonstrations.
3. Rocky Mountain Flower Fest (Colorado Springs)
Date: August 9
This festival mixes an “enchanting evening of music” with flower picking and flower crowns in the foothills of Pikes Peak. The festival will include local bluegrass, americana, and folk music with flower installations for photos, flowers to pick, and flower crowns to wear. There will also be food trucks, craft beer, an artisan market to shop, and even opportunities to do some line dancing.
4. Tulip Fairy & Elf Festival (Boulder)
Date: April 26
The Tulip Fairy parades down Pearl Street Mall in Boulder for this festival, “waking up the tulips,” to celebrate the arrival of spring. The festival features live performances, special activities for children, and more than 15,000 tulips decorating Pearl Street Mall.
5. Lavender Festival (Littleton)
Date: July 18 – 19
This family-friendly celebration includes more than 2,000 lavender plants at Chatfield Farms’ Lavender Garden. The festival features dye garden tours, entertainment from local bands, barrel train rides, lawn games, paint-by-numbers style murals, and opportunities to talk with Chatfield Farms horticulturists and farmers.
