Another fire has prompted evacuations in Colorado, with this new blaze located in Las Animas County.

According to officials, the fire, dubbed The Bear Fire, measures at about 125 acres with no containment. It was first discovered around 1 p.m. on June 10. The blaze was described as fast-moving as it tears through pinion, juniper, and grass. Mapping shows that it’s located near Highway 350 between Trinidad and La Junta and near the Piñon Canyon Maneuver Site.

Evacuations are currently underway for residents on County Road 78.9 and Bear Springs Trail.

Numerous wildfires are burning in Colorado amid dangerous conditions, and while none are particularly large compared to blazes in past years, at least one other fire was resulting in evacuations on June 10, located in southern Eagle County.
