Skyline Park in Denver gets a basketball pop-up in honor of Transplant Games

Skyline Park on Denver’s 16th Street is getting sportier this summer with a pop-up that honors the resilience of transplant athletes, recipients and living donors.

The Downtown Denver Partnership, in collaboration with DaVita has opened a vibrant, basketball-themed pop-up court to Skyline Park that will be accessible to all athletes.

The Transplant Games come to Denver this weekend to raise awareness for the need for organ donation, as well as give transplant athletes a chance to come together, compete and celebrate each other.

“Beyond supporting the Transplant Games of America, this activation is meant to drive traffic to downtown Denver, sparking accessible and spontaneous play for all ages,” said a spokesperson with DaVita.

The pop-up will stay at Skyline Park from Friday through Sept. 17, 2026 and serve as an accessible basketball court that encourages all athletes to play spontaneously.
