Colorado Mesa won back-to-back games against MSU Denver on Saturday to clinch the 2025 Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference Baseball Championship at Hamilton Ballpark in Grand Junction.
With the two wins, the Mavericks earned the RMAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Division II Baseball Championships.
The Mavericks’ Cameron Cartwright’s ninth-inning grand slam punctuated a five-run inning to power Colorado Mesa to a 14-9 win in Game 1. In Game 2, Colorado Mesa scored 13 runs in the first two innings and rolled to an 18-5 victory to clinch the title.
Cartwright was named the tournament’s most valuable player.
