Westminster begins filling potholes in ‘Pothole Palooza’

Know any potholes causing your vehicle to stumble and scrape in Westminster? Let the city know for its “Pothole Palooza.”

The city of Westminster is holding its annual pothole filling week between Monday and May 7, with city street teams attempting to fill as many reported potholes on city roads as possible, according to a news release.

“Proving your city can indeed move fast, fix big, and show up for every neighborhood,” Mayor Claire Carmelia said in the release. “From fixing potholes to repaving entire neighborhoods, we are proving responsible government can also be efficient and get the job done.”

During the event in 2025, the city filled more than 2,200 potholes in the city and over 100 potholes were reported by residents, using nearly 40 tons of repair materials.

Residents can report potholes before 2 p.m. on Thursday on the city’s website at westminsterco.gov.

Crews can only repair potholes on streets maintained by the city, this does not include potholes in private parking lots or state‑maintained roads like portions of Sheridan Boulevard, Wadsworth Parkway, Federal Boulevard and U.S. 36.
