One person died after a shooting southeast of City Park on Sunday morning, the police said.

The Denver Police Department posted about the incident on social media just after 5 a.m. Sunday, saying officers were investigating a shooting with one victim in the area of East Colfax Avenue and North Dahlia Street.

Officials later noted that the victim in the shooting was pronounced dead and investigators have determined the incident to be a homicide.
