Churches work together on holiday meal
By Karen Larsen
Chris and Carol Shedd are again planning a community dinner for those who don’t otherwise have the chance for a holiday meal.
The dinner will be a cooperative project between all three churches in Waterville. It will be held Jan. 1 at 5 p.m. at United Lutheran Church.
Like last year, there will be a sit-down meal at the church, and volunteers will also deliver meals to housebound people.
Members of each church will be providing salads, casseroles and desserts for the meal.
The Knights of Columbus will be providing ham, turkey, mashed potatoes and dressing.
Those interested in volunteering for the event and those interested in attending or having a meal delivered to their home may contact Chris or Carol at 679-3322 or 679-7111.
