Colorado’s High Alpine Coaster
There are plenty of reasons to check out Glenwood Springs area— Hanging Lake and Sunlight Mountain, for example—but one of the most unique attractions you’ll find in the area is the high alpine coaster at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park. It covers 3,400 feet of track and drops 1,000 feet, so get ready for a serious rush with a trip down this track.

One of the coolest aspects of this ride is that you control your own speed in your own individual car. That’s what makes this different than the typical roller coaster.
Unlike a slide or luge, you can’t fall off of this ride. It’s completely safe with the car fixed to a track and capable of cruising over sequential bumps and around hairpin turns.

Another great perk of the alpine roller coaster is that it’s maintain throughout the year, capable of being ridden any season.
