10 Unforgettable July Fourth Celebrations in Colorado

Some of the best firework displays in the country happen right here in Colorado. We’ve rounded up ten of the most intriguing shows for you to watch this July Fourth. There are plenty of fun activities during the day  before watching a spectacular night of fireworks. Many of the locations offer a plethora of outdoor events from live music, to parades, contests, and running races.

1. Downtown Denver, Colorado

Get to Civic Center Park early and enjoy a picnic while listening to live music. The fireworks show highlights the beauty of the City and County Building and the accompanying laser light show is fabulous. 2. Grand Lake, Colorado

July 4, 2018

The 4 th of July in Grand Lake is always a special time. There are plenty of activities during the day with live music in several of the restaurants, a parade, and a carnival atmosphere that thrills families. Don’t forget you can hike in Rocky Mountain National Park or go fishing during the day too. 3. Telluride, Colorado

The 4 th of July Celebration starts with the Telluride Foundation’s Rundola. After watching the race (or participate if you’re insane), you can sit back and take in the parade as well as a Firemen’s BBQ. 4. Breckenridge, Colorado

July 4, 2018

5. Frisco, Colorado

July 4, 2018

During Frisco’s Fabulous 4 th of July, there are plenty of activities from a pancake breakfast, to a fishing derby, to a parade. In the evening, be prepared to watch the fireworks extravaganza over Dillon Reservoir. The fireworks display can be viewed from a variety of locations around the reservoir. 6. Aspen, Colorado

The Old Fashioned July 4 th Celebration is packed with loads of fun for everyone. You can run in Boogies Buddy Race, decorate your bike for the Red Brick Bike Decorating contest, wave your flag during the parade, and head to the carnival with the whole family. Spend the day enjoying a great time on the Pearl Street Mall before heading over for Ralphie’s Independence Day Blast. There is lots of family fun to be had during the day starting with a pancake breakfast. You can watch the Independence Day Parade, listen to live music, try standup paddleboarding on the pond, view the Quilts of Valor, and participate in the Freedom 5k run.
