Baseball-sized hail hammers Boulder area; Hazardous weather outlook live
On Monday evening, a powerful storm system moved through northern Colorado dropping large hail and bringing strong winds with it. Hail was reported to be the size of a baseball, while winds were recorded reaching 70 miles per hour.

Areas that saw the worst of the storm include the Boulder area and Morgan County. Damage was reported on homes and cars.
This hail storm occurred when cool temperatures mix with higher humidity.
A hazardous weather outlook has been announced by the National Weather Service (at time of publishing) for several parts of Colorado, including the Boulder area. The warning specifically lists: “Boulder And Jefferson Counties Below 6000 Feet.” Drier weather is expected to come to the area on Wednesday.
