Two days of license-free fishing in Colorado, 300 poles to be given away
Colorado Parks and Wildlife is offering a weekend of license-free fishing kicking off on Saturday, June 6 through Sunday, June 7.
Back-to-back free fishing days mean anglers don’t need a license or Habitat Stamp to hit the waters. While the catch is free, anglers are still required to follow other rules and regulations set forth by the parks. Thanks to Colorado Parks and Wildlife, kids also have a shot at scoring a free fishing pole.
Colorado Parks and Wildlife will be giving out 300 free fishing poles to kids on June 5 starting at 3 p.m. at the SE Region office in Colorado Springs, while supplies last.
The SE Region office is located at 4255 Sinton Road in Colorado Springs. This giveaway event will take place by “drive-thru,” ending no later than 5 p.m.
On top of the free days, licensed anglers can also get paid to fish for northern pike illegally stocked at these two reservoirs in Colorado.
