Recent studies place Colorado in the top 10 states for ordering takeout and adopting pets since the COVID-19 pandemic began.

Bid-On-Equipment ranked Colorado fourth in the country for searching takeout on Google, with 9,150 of every 100,000 searches being takeout-related. Colorado was beat only by Rhode Island, New Hampshire and Massachusetts in that order.

The study found 65% of respondents report ordering more takeout since the pandemic began and 43% do not feel safe dining inside.

A different study by Lombardo Homes analyzing Google searches placed Denver as eighth in the country for pet adoption searches. In Denver, adoption-related search terms increased by 36% during COVID-19.

The study reported that 42% of pet owners have considered adopting another pet since COVID-19 began and 94% say their pet has been a source of emotional support during the pandemic.
