Teen dies near Pulpit Rock in Colorado Springs
According to a report from KKTV, a young male was found deceased on a trail near Pulpit Rock on September 25.
Pulpit Rock is a large rock outcropping that’s found in the middle of Colorado Springs, overlooking the mountains and much of the city. Many hikers climb to the top, where they are surrounded by dangerous drops. Hiking trails surround the area.
The official cause of death will be determined, though the case isn’t being investigated as a homicide.
According to KRDO, the young male was later identified as 17-year-old Mac Parkman.
Condolences go out to the friends and family of the deceased.
