The boat ramp hours of operation at Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake will change beginning on Thursday, the Larimer County Department of Natural Resources said.

At Carter Lake, the North Pines ramp will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. every day. The South Shore ramp will be open on Saturdays and Sundays only from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Both ramps will close on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26.

The Carter Lake north ramp will close Thursday for the rest of the season.

At Horsetooth Reservoir, the Inlet Bay ramp and the Satanka ramp will close for the rest of the season Thursday.

Horsetooth’s South Bay ramp will remain open, operating every day from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. from Thursday to Oct. 16. On Oct. 17, the ramp’s daily hours will change to 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The ramp will close on Thanksgiving.

Water levels at Horsetooth Reservoir have declined for October maintenance work on dam infrastructure planned by Northern Water. Recreational activities at Horsetooth will continue with limited impacts.

The new hours of operation are subject to change based on water levels and weather conditions.
