2 shootings near Denver’s Ruby Hill neighborhood Wednesday night, Thursday morning

Two separate shooting happened near Denver’s Ruby Hill neighborhood within nine hours of one another, the Denver Police Department said.

The first shooting was reported by police at 9:07 p.m. Wednesday. The shooting happened in the 1700 block of South Pecos Street, a few blocks south of Ruby Hill Park.

One victim was taken to a hospital. Police said their injuries appear to be nonlife-threatening.

The second shooting happened early Thursday morning in the 1200 block of South Quieto Way, a few blocks north of the Ruby Hill Park. Police reported the shooting at 6:21 a.m.

One victim was taken to a hospital with nonlife-threatening injuries, police said.

There is no suspect information for either shooting. The identities and conditions of the victims are unknown.
