Maintenance to cause Denver light rail closures over weekend
Light rail maintenance beginning Saturday will affect service on the E and R lines over the weekend, the Regional Transportation District announced Thursday.
The maintenance work will begin at 3 a.m. Saturday, lasting until the end of the service day Sunday.
During this time, the E Line will not have service between the Belleview and Dry Creek stations. At Belleview, the E Line will run on the track adjacent to South Quebec Street.
The R Line will not have service south of the Belleview Station. At the Belleview Station, the R Line will run on the track adjacent to Interstate 25.
Bus shuttles between stations will be provided during the closures.
Shuttles are available at the Belleview Station at Gate A, the Orchard Station at Gate C, the Arapahoe at Village Center Station at Gate F and Dry Creek Station at Gate B.
The weekend maintenance will be replacing the overhead catenary system along the lines.
Riders should plan for additional travel time between the affected stations Saturday and Sunday. Scheduled service on the E and R lines will resume Monday.
