Denver police search for robbery suspects
Police are searching for suspects involved in a double bank robbery and an aggravated robbery in Denver this month.
The most recent bank robbery happened on Oct. 23 at 4:42 p.m. at the BBVA Bank on Broadway. The suspect presented the teller with a note demanding money and threatening harm before fleeing the scene on foot.
Police said they believe this robbery was carried out by the same suspect as the Vectra Bank robbery on Oct. 15.
The suspect was described as a white male in his late 30s. He is around 6-feet tall with a slim build and dark hair. During the robbery, he wore a black hoodie with a green and white logo, grey sweatpants, glasses, a white face mask and a baseball hat with a yellow smiley face.
Denver police and the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force are leading the search for the double bank robber.
The aggravated robbery happened on Oct. 21 at around 8:20 p.m. at 2341 E. Colfax Ave., near Denver’s City Park.
The suspect was described as a Black male between 30 and 40 years old. He is approximately 5-feet-11-inches tall with a slim build and was wearing an all-red outfit during the robbery.
The Denver Police Department released photos of the two suspects Monday.
