Brighton Police are searching for a man accused of robbing a massage therapist at gunpoint on Monday.

The man arrived to the local Brighton business for a scheduled appointment around 7 p.m. Monday, and displayed a gun and demanded money, said Sgt. Monce Portillo.

Authorities say the victim was not harmed during the incident and the man fled the scene in a vehicle.

The suspect allegedly told the victim that he is not from the Brighton area, and is described as a Black male with a muscular build and was “well dressed,” according to the media release from BPD.

The name of the business is not being released at this time, Portillo said.

Brighton law enforcement is encouraging anyone with information about the robbery to contact their tip line at 303-655-8740.

Additionally, police are asking any massage therapist who have experienced any suspicious activity at their workplace to report the activity.
