Denver PD arrest suspect accused of assaulting a woman with a knife.

A woman has been taken into custody by the Denver Police Department for allegedly assaulting another person with a knife Saturday.

According to tweet by the police department, they responded to a call in the 1500 block of N. Wabash Street in the East Colfax neighborhood about an assault with a deadly weapon. 

Authorities found an adult female victim who was injured by the knife and was transported to a nearby hospital with non-life threatening injuries, officials said.

Information about the apprehended suspect is not being released at this time. 

The investigation is ongoing.
