Free COVID-19 community testing site to re-open for Las Animas and Huerfano residents
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment has announced the re-opening of a free COVID-19 community testing site for residents of Las Animas and Huerfano Counties.
The site at the Walsenburg Train Depot at 400 Main St. in Walsenburg will re-open Thursday at 10 a.m. and will continue operations through Saturday.
Free testing will be given to Las Animas and Huerfano residents on Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., according to a media release.
State health officials are encouraging anyone wishing to be tested to do so this weekend, but for those showing symptoms of the novel coronavirus are advise to get tested as soon as possible.
