Free COVID-19 testing sites in Denver to open this weekend
The city and county of Denver will be opening two new temporary COVID-19 testing sites this weekend.
The first site is located at True Light Baptist Church at 14333 Bolling Drive. It will be open Saturday and Dec. 19, with tests administered from 9 a.m. to noon on both days.
The second site is at the Denver Dream Center at 2839 W. 44th Ave. The site will be open on Sunday only from 9 a.m. to noon.

Testing is free at both locations.
The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment recommends people get tested for COVID-19 around seven days after suspected exposure or immediately if experiencing symptoms.
COVID-19 symptoms can appear two to 14 days after exposure and include fever, chills, cough, shortness of breath, fatigue, body aches, headache, sore throat and loss of taste or smell.

People who suspect they have been exposed to the virus should isolate themselves while they await their test results.
Currently, experts estimate one in 40 Coloradans are contagious with the coronavirus.
