Denver police release photo of suspect in December 16th Street Mall stabbing

The Denver Police Department released a photo Tuesday of the suspect from a stabbing on the 16th Street Mall in December.

Police said the suspect stabbed the victim while robbing a 7-Eleven at 820 16th St. The incident happened on Dec. 27 about 10 p.m.

The victim, a man, was taken to a hospital and survived his injuries, police said. The victim’s identity and involvement are unknown.

Surveillance footage shows the suspect wearing what appears to be a costume face mask and black beanie during the robbery.

Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can remain anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
