Driver killed after crashing into tree in Arvada
A woman was killed Tuesday after losing control and crashing into a tree, the Arvada Police Department said.
According to a tweet by police, the single-vehicle crash happened near 86th Parkway and Yank Street at 7:45 a.m.
Authorities say the 22-year-old victim was traveling east on 86th Parkway when she lost control and drove off the south side of the road and rammed into a tree.
Speed is believed to be a contributing factor to the crash, officials said.
Information about the victim is not being released at this time.
An investigation is ongoing.
