Two Coloradans win big in Powerball lottery drawing

Though Colorado didn’t sell the winning jackpot ticket, two Colorado Lottery tickets did win some major cash in Wednesday night’s Powerball drawing.

Two Powerball tickets sold in Colorado won $150,000 each, both having four out of five numbers plus the Powerball number.

The first ticket was sold at a Walmart in Aurora at 21475 E. Quincy Ave. The second was sold at a Broadway Wine & Spirits in Sterling at 207 Broadway.

The winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.

The jackpot ticket winning $731.1 million was sold in Lonaconing, Maryland, the first time the state has had a Powerball winner since 2011.

The jackpot was the fourth-largest in Powerball history and the longest jackpot run in Powerball history with 36 drawings.
