Two gunmen take over, rob bank in Denver, remain at-large

Law enforcement officials are searching for two gunmen that robbed a bank in Capitol Hill, Thursday afternoon.

Law enforcement officials are searching for two gunmen who robbed a bank in Capitol Hill in Denver on Thursday afternoon, the Denver Police Department said.

Police say the suspects entered BBVA Compass Bank at 800 N. Broadway at 2:33 p.m. and initiated a takeover-style robbery.

Both suspects were armed with handguns. 

Police say one suspect was last seen wearing a baseball-style cap, a dark-colored face covering, a dark-colored hoodie, khaki pants and surgical-style gloves.

The other gunmen was last seen wearing a dark-colored hoodie, pants, black and white shoes and was wearing gloves.

Both suspects have been described as Black males.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the FBI Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force at 303-629-7171. Those wanting to stay anonymous can contact Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867.
