Denver weather: Storm clears, sunshine returns; slight snow chances for weekend

Drivers drivers should be aware of slippery, icy roads during the morning commute in Denver on Thursday, the National Weather Service in Boulder said.

Thursday is likely to be mostly cloudy with temperatures expected to reach a high of 34 degrees with winds around 6 mph, according to the weather service.

Overnight temperatures are expected to drop to a low of 11 degrees with increasing clouds and light winds around 6 mph, the agency said.

Friday will bring back some warmth with a high of 45 degrees and sunny skies forecast. Slight chances of snow return Saturday then Sunday clears up.

“Slight snow chances return for Saturday, but warmer weather moves in to start the next work-week,” Denver Gazette news partner 9News reported. “Highs are expected in the 50s Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday.”

Friday: Sunny, with a high near 45 degrees and winds between 6 to 10 mph with gusts up to 15 mph.

Saturday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 45 degrees. A 30% chance of snow after 11 a.m. Light and variable winds between 5 to 7 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 41 degrees.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 55 degrees.
