Overnight closure of I-225 near Denver Tech Center postponed to Tuesday
The Colorado Department of Transportation has again pushed back its scheduled closure of Interstate 225 because of winter weather conditions.
The overnight closure of I-225 at the Tamarac Street/DTC Boulevard exit will now begin at 9 p.m. Tuesday and reopening at 5 a.m. Wednesday.
During this time, southbound I-225 will be fully closed. Traffic will be detoured along a two-mile route using posted signs.
The closure will allow crews to remove temporary barriers and restrict the newly widened and extended two-lane on-ramp to northbound Interstate 25 via southbound I-225.

This is the final phase of a three-part project designed to improve capacity and make safety upgrades at two key interchanges on southbound I-225: The South Parker Road exit and I-25/I-225 junction.
CDOT said the closure schedule could change again depending on weather conditions Tuesday.
