Aurora PD investigating Friday afternoon shooting

An investigation is underway into a shooting that sent one person to the hospital in Aurora on Friday.
Officers were dispatched to the 15800 block of East Alameda Avenue around 2 p.m. Friday after multiple reports of a shooting, Crystal McCoy, a public information officer for the Aurora Police Department told The Denver Gazette.
Upon their arrival, officers located a victim who was shot in the leg.
The man was transported to a local hospital with non life-threatening injuries.

Investigators learned the suspect knew the victim and fled the scene following the shooting.
As of Saturday at 1:45 p.m. the suspect remains at large.
