An investigation by the Aurora Police Department is underway after one person was shot during a drive-by shooting Saturday morning.
Police responded to a report of a shooting in the 14000 block of East 13th avenue around 5:15 a.m., said Matthew Longshore, a public information officer for the department.
Upon their arrival, officers located a man who suffered gunshot wounds and was transported to a nearby hospital. His current status is unknown, but the victim suffered serious injuries.
During an initial investigation, police learned the victim was standing outside when shots were fired by an unknown vehicle.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is encouraged to contact the Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters who provide information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the shooter could earn up to $2,000.
