Police are investigating after one person was shot Sunday evening near Cheesman Park, the Denver Police Department said.
Police said the shooting happened about 6:20 p.m. in the 900 block of Humboldt Street, one block from the park.
The victim was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Their condition is unknown, police said.
Police said all parties involved, including a possible suspect, have been identified; however, no arrests have been made and the possible suspect was released from custody.
No suspect information is available. Police have not said what led to the shooting.
Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
