The Denver Police Department is investigating after a man was shot Tuesday night in the West Colfax neighborhood.
Police said the shooting happened near the intersection of West Colfax Avenue and North Quitman Street. Denver police announced the shooting just after 9 p.m.
Responding officers found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound and transported him to a hospital. He is expected to survive his injuries, police said.
Police are still investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
No arrests have been made. No suspect information is available at this time.
