Southbound I-225 to close overnight in Denver Tech Center
Construction will close southbound Interstate 225 overnight Sunday at the Tamarac Street and DTC Boulevard exit.
The Colorado Department of Transportation and ABCO Contracting will close the interstate at the exit beginning at 11 p.m. Sunday. The interstate will reopen Monday at 4 a.m.
During the closure, crews will install overhead signs at the newly widened on-ramp to northbound Interstate 25 — the final step in I-225’s three-phase traffic flow and ramp safety improvement project.
The project was designed to improve capacity and safety on southbound I-225 at the South Parker Road exit and the on-ramp to northbound I-25.

Warning and detour signs will be in place to alert drivers of the closure. The posted detour routes will add two miles and 10 minutes to travel times.
The closure was scheduled for overnight hours when there is the least traffic on the road. The interstate will be open in time for Monday’s morning commute, officials said.
