Westbound I-70 on-ramp from Brighton Boulevard to close over weekend

The Brighton Boulevard on-ramp to westbound Interstate 70 will close over the weekend for construction of the Colorado Department of Transportation’s Central 70 Project.
The ramp will be closed from 8 p.m. Friday until 5 a.m. Monday as crews work to repave a section of the road.
As a detour, those driving south on Brighton Boulevard should go west on 47th Avenue, south on Baldwin Court and then west on 46th Avenue to Washington Street to access westbound I-70.
Those driving north on Brighton Boulevard should go northwest on 44th Street and then west on 46th Avenue to Washington Street to access westbound I-70.
Officials advise drivers to plan for extra travel time in the area during the ramp closure.
The Central 70 Project is reconstructing a 10-mile stretch of I-70, adding an Express Lane in each direction, removing the 56-year-old viaduct and lowering the interstate between Brighton and Colorado boulevards.
This work is weather-dependent and subject to change.
