Stop me if you’ve heard this before: More apartments are coming to metro Denver.
Atlanta developer RangeWater Real Estate and Marble Capital have teamed to build a 5-story, 385-unit apartment building called Fox Iron Works, off 41st and Fox streets in Denver’s Globeville neighborhood.
The news comes from the CBRE Capital Markets Debt & Structured Finance group, which secured the funding for the development expected to be complete in 2023. Jill Haug and Brady O’Donnell helped ink the construction loan.
“Fox Iron Works represents a unique project in the up-and-coming Fox Street corridor, which has persevered through the unprecedented set of challenges set forth during the COVID-19 pandemic,” said O’Donnell in a statement.
The project is a “transit-oriented development,” which means it’s next to a light rail station – this time the RTD Fox Street station. FoundryLine is next to RTD’s 38th and Blake streets station.
Promotion:
The Marijuana Enforcement Division has tapped Dominique Mendiola as its next senior director, the first Mexican-American woman to hold the position since state law began allowing recreational marijuana sales in 2014.
Mendiola, the first senior director without a law enforcement background, joined the division in 2014. She most recently served as MED’s deputy director of policy, licensing and communications and has also served as Colorado’s director of Marijuana Coordination under former Gov. John Hickenlooper.
Mendiola replaces Jim Burack in the role, who is transitioning to a more active role in his career with the Marine Reserves.
