Pedestrian killed after being hit by vehicle near Regis University
A pedestrian was fatally struck by a vehicle late Saturday night near Regis University, the Denver Police Department announced.
Police said the pedestrian was walking in the road about 11 p.m. when he was hit by the vehicle near the 5000 block of North Federal Boulevard.
The pedestrian, identified only as a man, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His identity will be released by the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner after his family has been notified.
The driver stayed at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation, police said.
No criminal charges have been filed against the driver at this time. The investigation will determine if any charges will be filed, police said.
Police do not suspect alcohol or speed as contributing factors in the crash.
