Police search for suspect who waved gun at customers in Thornton bar
The Thornton Police Department is asking for the public’s help in tracking down a suspect who allegedly waved a gun at patrons in a bar earlier this month.
Police said the incident happened on May 14 at the Castaways Lounge at 451 W. 84th Ave.
The suspect, an adult male, intervened in a fight between two people at the bar by threatening and waving a gun at several of the patrons, police said.
The suspect then ran out of the bar and drove off in an early 2000s white Toyota Corolla-type vehicle with dark tinted windows. Police released photos of the suspect vehicle Sunday.
The suspect is wanted for menacing charges, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call Metro Denver Crime Stoppers at 720-913-7867. Tipsters can be anonymous and are eligible for a $2,000 reward.
