Stolen Subaru with dog located, dog not inside
A Subaru with a 15-year-old dog inside that was stolen in Westminster last month has been recovered, but the search for SOLO continues.
Police said the vehicle was recovered on Tuesday in Commerce City, but SOLO, a 15-year-old basset hound, beagle mix was not, according to a release on Wednesday.
The navy Subaru was stolen outside of a Tropical Smoothie Cafe at 73rd Avenue and Federal Boulevard on April 16.
Caroline Wilson has been the owner of SOLO since she was five-years-old and is pleading for anyone with information to come forward.
“I’m absolutely heartbroken and am begging for anyone to help bring (SOLO) home,” Wilson wrote on Facebook.
Police released additional photos of the alleged suspects on Wednesday. The monetary reward for information also increased from $2,000 to $7,000 through private donations, according to the release.
