A delayed maintenance project has extended the suspension of light rail service on some H and R lines in the Denver metro area through Friday, the Regional Transportation District announced.
The project to replace overhead wire on sections of the H and R lines was supposed to be completed by Wednesday but required extra time, officials said.
For the H Line, light rail service will be unavailable between the Nine Mile, Dayton and Southmoor stations. Instead, service will operate from the Florida station to Nine Mile and from Southmoor to the 18th and California station.
Bus shuttles will be provided between the Nine Mile, Dayton and Southmoor stations, with boarding at Gate E, the temporary gate and Gate A, respectively.

For the R Line, light rail service will be unavailable between the Nine Mile, Dayton and Belleview stations. Service will run normally from the Peoria station to Nine Mile and from the Lincoln station to Belleview.
Bus shuttles will be provided between those stations, with boarding at Gate E for Nine Mile, the temporary gate for Dayton and Gate A for Belleview.
Travelers should expect significant delays and are encouraged to use alternative stations during the maintenance work, officials said.
Regular light rail service on the H and R lines should resume at all stations Friday.
