MLB All-Star Game in Denver: Fans’ event guide for the week ahead

The Major League Baseball All-Star Week kicks off Friday in Denver, beginning a series of events leading up to the 91st annual All-Star Game at Coors Field.

Here’s a look at the schedule: 

Saturday, July 10

9 a.m.: MLB All-Star 5K, at Civic Center Park. The race is open to all ages and will include appearances by MLB mascots, live music and free refreshments.

10 a.m.–6 p.m.: Hall of Legends Exhibit, at The Rally Hotel / McGregor Square.

10 a.m.–8 p.m.: Play Ball Park, at Colorado Convention Center.

3 p.m.–5 p.m.: Negro Leagues Baseball Museum’s “Shades of Greatness” Traveling Exhibit, at McNichols Civic Center Building, first floor. Exhibit runs through Sept. 7.

Sunday, July 11

10 a.m.–6 p.m.: Hall of Legends Exhibit, at The Rally Hotel / McGregor Square.

10 a.m.–8 p.m.: Play Ball Park, at Colorado Convention Center.

10:30 a.m.–5 p.m.: Negro Leagues Baseball Museum’s “Shades of Greatness” Traveling Exhibit, at McNichols Civic Center Building, first floor.

11 a.m.: Gates open for All-Star Sunday, at Coors Field.

1 p.m.: All-Star Futures Game, at Coors Field (MLB Network).

4 p.m.: All-Star Celebrity Softball Game, at Coors Field. (ESPN, Monday night)

5 p.m.: MLB Draft Day 1, at Bellco Theatre, Colorado Convention Center.

Monday, July 12

10 a.m.–6 p.m.: Hall of Legends Exhibit, at The Rally Hotel / McGregor Square.

10 a.m.–6 p.m.: Play Ball Park, at Colorado Convention Center.

10:30 a.m.–5 p.m.: Negro Leagues Baseball Museum’s “Shades of Greatness” Traveling Exhibit, at McNichols Civic Center Building, first floor.

3 p.m.: Gates open for All-Star Workout Day, at Coors Field.

3:15 p.m.–4:10 p.m.: National League batting practice, at Coors Field.

4:15 p.m.–5:10 p.m.: American League batting practice, at Coors Field.

5:10 p.m.–5:25 p.m.: Extra batting practice for Home Run Derby participants, at Coors Field.

6 p.m.: Home Run Derby, at Coors Field (ESPN)

Tuesday, July 13

10 a.m.–6 p.m.: Play Ball Park, at Colorado Convention Center.

10:30 a.m.–5 p.m.: Negro Leagues Baseball Museum’s “Shades of Greatness” Traveling Exhibit, at McNichols Civic Center Building, first floor.

2 p.m.–5 p.m.: All-Star Pre-Game reception, at The Rally Hotel (tickets required).

3 p.m.: Gates open for the 91st all-star game, at Coors Field.

3:15 p.m.–4:10 p.m.: National League batting practice.

4:15 p.m.–5:10 p.m.: American League batting practice.

5:30 p.m.: Pregame ceremonies for the game begin (FOX).
