Suspicious package deemed not a threat, C470 reopens
C470 has reopened after authorities determined a suspicious package was not a threat.
Authorities closed the highway between West Quincy and Bowles Avenues, and westbound Belleview Avenue is also closed at South Eldridge Street as they investigated a suspicious package.
A Code Red Alert was issued for the surrounding area, but has since been called off, police said.
