Jefferson County deputy injured in crash

A Jefferson County sheriff’s deputy was injured in a crash on Wednesday night when a vehicle struck the deputy’s vehicle while it was parked on the side of the road.
The crash happened along westbound C-470 near the Morrison Road exit. The deputy was at the scene of another crash, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The deputy went to a hospital but was later released.
“This crash was preventable” the Sheriff’s Office wrote on Twitter. “Please move over for emergency vehicles!”
