Colorado Avalanche goalie Darcy Kuemper out for Game 2 of Western Conference finals
DENVER – Goaltender Darcy Kuemper is out for Game 2 against Edmonton, Avalanche coach Jared Bednar announced at morning skate Thursday.
Kuemper exited Colorado’s Game 1 win in the second period with an undisclosed upper-body injury.
Pavel Francouz, who will start in Game 2, replaced Kuemper and saved 18 of the 21 shots he faced.
Game 2 is at 6 p.m. Thursday.
