WATCH: The Denver Zoo holds, “Baby Sloth Naming Competition”
After a DNA test to reveal the newborn sloth’s gender (as they don’t have external genitalia), the Denver Zoo determined their new Linne’s two-toed sloth was in fact a boy. Now the zoo is holding a naming competition for the sloth, with the public eligible to vote between names chosen by the sloth’s handlers for a small donation to the zoo.
