In March 2023, after Mikaela Shiffrin won a 2023-23 World Cup globe in giant slalom trophy, the trophy broke while riding around in a Land Rover while filming a commercial in Andorra. Shiffrin family friend Chris Anthony took on the task of repurposing the broken trophy, found a plastics builder in Denver to build a display base, then delivered the now donated trophy to the Colorado Snowsports Museum in Vail, Colorado. This trophy is displayed next to another broken World Cup globe Shiffrin won in 2017-18.
