Denver Fashion Week set to take stage next week

8 days of fashion throughout the city

Designers, makeup artists, hairstylists and local boutiques look to take over Denver’s art scene next week as part of Denver Fashion Week — a tradition that began over 13 years ago.

Denver Fashion Week — which once began as Denver Fashion Weekend over a decade ago — has grown into a plethora of fashion-based events spanning eight days throughout the city. From Saturday, Nov. 11 through Nov. 19, six runway shows, the Southwest Hairstyling Awards and a Model Industry Workshop will run around town in different venues, placing Denver as the international place for chic.

Last year’s fashion week brought in 81 press stories, including 23 broadcast segments, totaling $4,849,842 in ad revenue, according to Denver Fashion Week.

The six runway shows will take place at York Street Yards in Denver’s Clayton neighborhood. The ticketed events will show fashion collections from national, local and international designers — ranging from stylistic genres like sustainability, couture and children’s fashion.

Seven-year-old fashion prodigy, Max Alexander, will be showing his Couture to the Max designs on Saturday, as well. Alexander is quickly becoming a fashion phenom, creating designs for international clientele.

The Southwest Hairstyling Awards will also take place during the week on Nov. 12 at York Street Yards, awarding the best hairstylists and colorists in the southwest region of the US.

Tickets and more information can be found at DenverFashionWeek.
