Denver police investigating hit-and-run motorcyclist death
Police continue to search for the suspect vehicle
A motorcyclist died following a crash in Denver on Saturday morning. The other driver in the incident allegedly left the scene.
Police continue to investigate a hit-and-run that left one driver dead around 1 a.m. Saturday morning, according to a social media post by the Denver Police Department.
Officers responded to a crash report in the area of Speer Boulevard and Grove Street. Upon arrival, responders found a motorcyclist injured. The victim was taken to a nearby hospital and later died from their injuries.
The incident is being investigated as a hit-and-run, according to the department. The other vehicle in the crash was not at the scene. The suspect vehicle is a white SUV with front-end damage, according to the department.

There have been 468 fatal crashes in Denver between the beginning of the year and Oct. 26, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation. There were 699 in the entirety of 2022.
