How Aurorans can ring in the new year

With 2024 only a few days away, there are many family-friendly ways to celebrate in Aurora this weekend. 

From Noon Years Eve, celebrating the holidays early for those who don’t want to stay up late, to the last workout of 2023, there’s an event for every Auroran.

Here’s how and where Aurorans can ring in the new year in the city:

  • Noon Years Eve in Southlands, 6155 S. Main St.: On Saturday, Dec. 30 from 10:30 a.m. to noon, there will be fun for the whole family including face painting, crafts, a live DJ, balloon drop at noon and a dance party.
  • Noon Years Eve at Tallyn’s Reach Library, 23911 E. Arapahoe Rd.: On Saturday, Dec. 30 from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., celebrate the new year with a glass of bubbly, fun crafts and a new year’s countdown.
  • New Year’s Eve at Aurora Fox Arts Center, 9900 E. Colfax Ave.: On Sunday, Dec. 31 at 7:30 p.m., local band Shelvis and the Roustabouts, which was voted “Denver’s Best Band” by 5280 Magazine readers, will play a show with costumes and dancing. 
  • 2023 Last Chance Workout at Arapahoe County Fairgrounds, 25690 E. Quincy Ave.: Colorado Workout Warriors is hosting a full-body endurance-themed workout to celebrate the end of the year and ring in the new one. The event opens at 8 a.m. and admission is $10.
  • New Year’s Eve Party at Urban Air Adventure Park, 15400 E. Briarwood Cir.: From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, have “an evening filled with adventure and fun,” including giveaways and a balloon drop at 1 p.m.
