Denver sees 4 shootings during New Year’s Eve celebrations

The Denver Police Department is investigating four shootings that occurred from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning following New Year celebrations.

The shootings did not result in deaths, the police said.

The first shooting, reported at 4:17 p.m., occurred in the 2000 block of North Colorado Blvd. Police said a victim transported himself to the hospital after being shot.

Another shooting, reported at 1:07 a.m., injured a man at the 4600 block of North High Street.

Just over an hour later, officers responded to a shooting in the 2500 block of South Zenobia Street, where they found two victims. The extent of their injuries were not immediately known. The Zenobia shooting was reported at 2:29 a.m.

The fourth shooting incident, which occurred at East Colfax Ave. and Magnolia Street, also injured a man. Police reported the Colfax shooting at 4:11 a.m.

1 dead following two-vehicle crash in northeast Denver

The Denver Police Department is investigating a fatal two-vehicle crash on Monday morning near Parkfield Lake Park. The crash killed one person near East 53rd Avenue and North Chambers Road, the police said on social media platform X. Police reported the crash at 5:38 a.m. The police did not yet provide details about the victims.
