Yates will be charged with growing the office, according to a news release.
She’ll work closely with Managing Partners Jim Bucking and Jeff Collins.
Yates has worked in the firm’s insurance recovery practice, representing businesses in commercial litigation and construction disputes.
“She also advises policyholders in disputes with their insurers in nearly all aspects of insurance coverage,” according to the release.
Other areas of expertise for Foley Hoag’s Denver office include clean energy, healthcare, life sciences and technology.
Yates is a University of Denver graduate for both her bachelor’s and law degrees, according to the release, and was named “Barrister’s Best 2023” by Law Week Colorado.
Hire at affordable housing nonprofit
Affordable housing nonprofit Rocky Mountain Communities hired Jessica Patterson as vice president of finance.
She brings 12 years of accounting, finance and low-income housing experience to the Denver-based organization. Patterson previously worked for Alden Torch and Pacific Servicing, LLC.
“Jessica’s past experience in corporate environments with a focus on low income housing will greatly benefit RMC,” said CEO Mark Marshall in a news release. “We are excited to have Jessica join our leadership team as RMC grows its portfolio to help house more families and individuals across the state of Colorado.”
Patterson will help supervise “all finance and accounting functions,” as well as work on annual budgets, audits, and managing partnerships with RMC’s legal team.
She has a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wisconsin, Madison, with a double major in accounting and marketing.
Real estate firm has new leaders
Denver’s Pinnacle Real Estate Advisors hired RC Myles as its new president and Jessica Graham as managing director.
Myles brings more than 30 years of commercial real estate experience to the role, with sales and lease transactions totaling more than 20 million square feet, according to a news release. He started at Fuller and Co. in 1990, and was involved in the company becoming Cassidy Turley, DTZ and Cushman & Wakefield.
Graham most recently worked at CBRE and has more than 19 years of commercial real estate experience. She led the multifamily capital markets team that oversaw more than $14 billion worth of transactions.
“Given my experience with local, national, and international firms, I am excited to be part of a company that has a focus on culture and execution on behalf of clients,” Myles said in the release. “Over the years, I have observed how important that focus can be and I look forward to helping Pinnacle expand our market footprint in the industrial, office, retail, and land sectors, with an emphasis on recruiting exceptional talent to the team.”
“The company’s reputation and values will allow us to increase our market share and recruiting efforts at a firm that fosters a unique family culture, offers competitive broker splits, does business with integrity, and was built for brokers by brokers,” Graham said in the release.
